I'd be interested to know if you would consider the book of mercy channeled material. Do you believe you're god of earth? Or are you god as all things are God, being part of the whole? Thank you for sharing your journey. I lost my faith in Mormonism, and have recently been really into New Age spirituality. The messages I've received in my journey have been about being patient, waiting for the answers to come, but also the promise that I will know the truth before I die. I admire your steadfastness in your belief, which seems to have infused your life with meaning.
Hey Chris, thanks so much for reading and commenting. It's interesting that your journey has involved Mormonism as I recently read some of the the Book of Mormon and attended some services in a Mormon chapel. It was interesting to learn more about the LDS church, though I haven't felt inclined to pursue that path.
On the question of channeled material, all I can do is convey what honestly happened. First, God told me He was going to reveal a Scripture. Then, a few weeks later, He did. It came to me as God speaking sentences to me one by one while I was in a prayerful state.
Do I believe I'm god of earth? God has told me many things about myself, including that I'm god of earth, and I try to pray my way through everything, asking that He would keep me grounded in the truth and only the truth. Some of the things God tells me about myself are hard to understand and accept, especially when they don't seem to line up with the Bible and/or the Qur'an. He also sometimes tells me that certain things are going to happen and they don't, which is confusing. But God does whatever He wishes. Through all of the confusion, I try to just keep trusting and keep going, hoping that God will unfold my life journey with love and kindness, that He will bring clarity and understanding about the things that confuse me, and that I haven't been (and never will be) forsaken.
I don't know if you have a personal relationship with God in which you converse with Him, but it is certainly possible for you to have that kind of relationship with Him. For me, that relationship began when I read the Bible, repented of my sins, and came to know and appreciate the teachings of Jesus and put my faith in him.
I have a personal relationship with God, certainly, through spiritual experiences that defy reason.
